Anna Gössi majored in Music and Movement at Lucerne University of Applied Sciences and Arts, where she subsequently earned a Master's degree in teaching solo voice in the class Prof. Barbara Locher. She continued her vocal studies in the class of Isolde Siebert at FHNW University of Music Basel and graduated successfully as a Master in Music Performance. Additionally, she specialized in Opera at the Swiss Opera Studio. She attended various master classes, where she benefitted from experienced vocal coaches and internationally known singers, such as Yvonne Naef, Margreet Honig, Vesselina Kasarova, Meinard Kraak or Barbara Hannigan.
She performed various operas and operettas as a soprano. Highlights were the role as Adele (Die Fledermaus), Blonde (Die Entführung aus dem Serail), Violante (La Frascatana) and Dorothy (The Wizard of Oz). Engagements lead her onto various stages, amongst others Theater Biel Solothurn, Luzerner Theater, Theater Regensburg, Sommeroper Selzach, Operettenbühne Bremgarten and the Opera at Schloss Waldegg. Since the beginning of the season 2016/2017, Anna is a permanent member of the cast at the Gerhart-Hauptman-Theater in Görlitz, where she won the special audience award after only one season.
In addition to her engagements on the opera stages, Anna is also very active as a concert singer and performs at festivals. She has won awards in various competitions.
